Who We Are
The AirwaysCARE program, led by the Global Allergy and Asthma Excellence Network, connects a network of reference centers dedicated to world-class care in asthma and allergic rhinitis.
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways, affecting over 300 million people worldwide. It causes wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, and requires personalized management to improve quality of life.
Allergic rhinitis affects up to 30% of adults and 40% of children, triggering sneezing, nasal congestion, and itchy eyes in response to allergens like pollen, dust, or pet dander. It often coexists with asthma, making coordinated care essential.
Through standardized treatment protocols, cutting-edge research, and professional education, AirwaysCARE ensures that patients receive evidence-based, high-quality care for optimal respiratory health.
The AirwaysCARE network, established in 2026, works in close collaboration with ARIA (Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma) to promote innovation and evidence-based practice in the management of asthma and allergic rhinitis through research, publications, and professional education.
What We Do
We aim to raise awareness of asthma and allergic rhinitis among healthcare professionals, the pharmaceutical industry, and patients. To support this, we are building a global network of centers of excellence and strengthening professional collaborations to disseminate state-of-the-art expert care and improve outcomes for patients worldwide.

While the programme includes the recognition of dedicated centers, its primary focus lies in empowering healthcare systems and professionals to deliver appropriate, high-quality care across diverse regions.
