ANACARE – We provide excellence in Anaphylaxis and Food Allergy management
The ANACARE program is an initiative by Global Allergy and Asthma Excellence Network e.V. for increasing the knowledge of anaphylaxis and food allergy by research,
advocating for awareness, and accrediting an interactive network of centers of reference and excellence worldwide.
Who We Are
The ANACARE CORE Network aims to develop and accredit an interactive network of centres of reference and excellence in Anaphylaxis and Food Allergy management.
Anaphylaxis is a common and debilitating condition that can be a challenge for both patients and treating physicians, especially when recurrent. Since its start in June of 2021, the ANACARE network is growing fast. Centers of reference and excellence in Anaphylaxis (ANACAREs) can help to improve the management of hard to treat conditions.
At present, it is the most active and vibrant consortium of immunologists, Key Opinion Leaders and leading treatment centres producing guidelines, publications, educational events such as Masterclasses, and key annual meetings such as GAFA.
What We Do
Anaphylaxis is a debilitating condition and can be a challenge for both patients and treating physicians. Centers of reference and excellence in Anaphylaxis and Food Allergy (ANACAREs) can help to improve the management of hard to treat conditions. Here, we describe the aims, the requirements and deliverables, the application process, and the audit and accreditation protocol for ANACAREs. The main aims of ANACAREs are to:
- to promote the awareness of anaphylaxis and food allergy by advocacy activities
- provide excellence in anaphylaxis and food allergy management
- increase knowledge of anaphylaxis and food allergy with research, education and studies
Our Mission
The ANACARE programme is a global initiative to improve diagnosis and care for people living with anaphylaxis and food allergy—especially in countries where access to specialized expertise and modern treatment options is still limited.
Our mission is to support the development and implementation of sustainable diagnostic and treatment structures through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and advocacy. While the programme includes the recognition of dedicated centers, its primary focus lies in empowering healthcare systems and professionals to deliver appropriate, high-quality care across diverse regions.
Our Vision
Our vision is to improve the quality of life for all patients affected by anaphylaxis and food allergy worldwide through excellent medical care and research that advances our understanding of anaphylaxis, food allergy and its treatment. We also want to increase awareness of the disease, its symptoms, comorbidities, burden, diagnostic workup and treatment options, thereby empowering both patients and physicians to take control of all aspects of anaphylaxis and food allergy.
Uniting all interested parties, partners, and collaboration centres
in increasing the knowledge of anaphylaxis and food allergy by research.
